My 11 month old boxer has been on Canidae All-Life stages. He was originally on the Purina Puppy Formula but we wanted to feed him something healthier so we switched. Since we switched we haven’t been able to get a firm poop out of him! Sometimes they’re sort of solid and other times they’re just cow patties. He’s been on Canidae for 6 or 7 months and it hasn’t gotten any better.
So I was wondering, if we switched him to the grain-free Formula of All-Life stages would this help or should I be switching him to something else all-together? I don’t think I have the patience to feed raw but other then that I’m open to suggestion.
He loves his food but I don’t love picking up his poops!!
Yes, we did reduce the amount we were feeding…we feed him according to his weight/age by the chart on the side of the Canidae bag. :/
Yes, his stool has been tested and other then the loose stools he’s healthy and still growing fine. Thanks for the tips on food sensitivity.
Grain free formula! I would suggest Wellness Core or Wellness 5 Mix. Natural Balance is good, too. I am not familiar with All-life Stages. My Boston Terrier had the same problem with loose stools and I switched him to Wellness 5 Mix – Lamb. He loves it and his stools are firm now.

I’m accustomed to giving them raw "chicken" liver together with their Canidae All Life Stages kibble every so often (not too regularly) but I’ve never fed them raw beef liver before.
When I went to the store they ran out of the chicken liver so I bought the beef liver instead…is it ok for them to eat?
Remember also what the liver is. It is the detoxifier of the body. Any toxins the cow has been exposed to will be concentrated in the liver. When we want to know the toxins present in just about any animal we test the liver. Grass fed cattle that do not live near crops in which intensive insecticides are used should be safe.

I have written my paper already i talk about choosing the right path, college gives you the raw ingredients to shape your adult life etc. here is my opening paragraph:
When I was younger I thought school was going to last forever. Then as I finished middle school and began high school I started to think, “Okay. Not too much longer.” Then just when you think you are done with school, college comes and hits you like a stack of books. Although I did not go to college straight out of high school, I now fully understand the importance of a college education. There are two paths you are put in front of once you complete high school. You can skip college and start living right away or you can continue going to school for another four to eight years and put off your real world life for a while longer. The effect of a college education cause you to think critically, changes your perspective on life and provides you with the raw ingredients that shape your adult identity.
